2025 Election Information

Elections are held on the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November of every year.

The Village Council is made up of six members (mayor and five councilmembers).

The regular term of office for the positions of mayor and members of the village council are staggered two-year terms. All Councilmembers are elected “at large”.

 

General Election – November 4, 2025

The next regularly scheduled General Election is Tuesday, November 4, 2025, to elect 3 council members.

• Filing Period for Name on the Ballot 
• Saturday, July 19, 2025 – August 18, 2025, by 5:00 pm
• First Day to Apply for Ballot by Mail 
• Sunday, January 1, 2025
• First Day of Early Voting in Person
• Monday, October 20, 2025
• Last Day to Apply for Ballot by Mail 
• Friday, October 24, 2025
• Last Day of Early Voting in Person
• Friday, October 31, 2025
• Election Day Tuesday
• November 4, 2025

 Qualifications for Office- Type B City 

• Residence - 1 year in state prior to filing deadline; 6 months in city (or ward) prior to election day
• Age - 18
• Must be a registered voter in territory elected from by the filing deadline, August 18, 2025.
