Burn Ban in Effect
Travis County enforces Burn Bans during periods of high fire danger to protect lives and property. Burn Bans restrict all outdoor burning activities until conditions improve. The decision to enact or lift a Burn Ban is made by the Travis County Commissioners Court, based on recommendations from the Fire Marshal’s Office.
